About Me

As an innovative Web and UX/UI Designer, I design and produce digital marketing and web components ranging from single-page templates to complete websites. I'm responsible for driving multiple web projects from conceptualization to launch, including developing technical requirements, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes, and then moving the final product into front and back-end production.

Deliverables include custom landing pages and landing page templates, custom emails and email templates, online customer portals, and standalone microsites. To complete some projects I work independently, while on other projects I collaborate with stakeholders and a team of programmers.

I also manage elements of the CMS, web content review/approval, and digital asset management including images, videos and documents. I possess a strong understanding of web design best practices and accessibility standards, and hand off projects that satisfy all technical requirements.

For those with a sense of humor...

I'm a cis woman, barely confident in explaining what that is. I'm what you might call a junk food 'rescue'. I once foolishly gave up Cheetos, but today I'm saved. I wore a top hat every day when Obama was President. It was fun. I am an outlaw in Botswana. When I'm not designing, I engage in the lost art of full-contact decoupage. I recommend the starter kit. When I retire, I am going to the dark side to become the 1.23E+10 Lord of the Sith. I will shoot laser beams from my finger and wear a cape. Pizza completes me. At the end of the day, I choose to leave the gun and take the cannoli.

My Work Experience

ARM Ltd.
Web Design Manager II

2017

  • Architected and front-end developed the company's annual partner meeting registration and event site, which featured greater usability and accessibility over its predecessor, as well as full integration with the event's app and proprietary meeting scheduling app. As part of this project, I further championed its user interface and user experience.
  • Redesigned and programmed the corporate email template to use next-generation Marketo features such as a drag-n-drop interface, in addition to a buildout that was modular, leveraged variables, and required no knowledge of HTML or CSS by its users, as was the case previously. This empowered the campaign teams to send out e-communications autonomously.
  • Spearheaded and owned development of ARM's digital style guide to centralize corporate's new brand and bring it to life online. It was ARM's first online style guide and solved the problem of Creative and stakeholders being limited and encumbered by PDFs.
  • Crafted and coded high-visibility, custom emails for a global audience with special attention to localization, accessibility, and mobile experience.
  • Served as collaborating designer in the ARM.com corporate website redesign project, including owning and writing the CSS.
  • Software used: InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Marketo, Litmus/Litmus Builder, SiteCore. Web technologies used: HTML, HTML tables, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, JQuery, FTP.
  • Projects and workflows were managed using Asana, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, and Agile methodologies were always employed.

Senior Web Designer

2014 - 2016

  • Reimagined, front-end developed, and delivered various sections of the ARM.com corporate website on-schedule and on-budget.
  • Managed corporate website content updates, including authoring graphics, via SiteCore CMS.
  • Curated ARM's Innovation Hub standalone microsite from design to buildout to launch; responsive behavior was custom developed by me and did not use a responsive framework. Furthermore, managed the site's content updates including producing graphical assets post-launch.
  • Custom designed and hard-coded front-end for ARM's Partner Meeting standalone registration and event site, including redesigning the user journey and online experience.
  • Designed, coded, and optimized corporate email templates to champion ARM's new brand, be mobile-friendly, and render across all email clients including the beasts that are Outlook and Android.
  • Directed, designed, and hard-coded Marketo CRM landing page templates, as well as custom landing pages for ARM's corporate campaigns.
  • Software used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Edge Reflow, Marketo, Litmus, SiteCore, OpenText CMS. Web technologies used: HTML, HTML tables, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, JQuery, FTP.

  • Conceptualized design, revamped user experience, built out and troubleshooted customer-facing portals and other online customer applications.

2006 - 2009

  • Designed, developed, and managed content, graphics, multimedia, and functionality for agency website, ecommerce site, fundraising microsite and online training site.
  • Served as in-house graphic designer and multimedia specialist developing collateral including brochures, posters, catalogues, animations, web videos, and other print materials.
  • Captured and composed all online and offline videos.
  • Performed regular quality assurance reviews and testing for all agency web-based interfaces with respect to design, content, functionality and accessibility.
  • Grew the agency's website activity from a few hundred visits per month to well over 15,000 on average.
